How much is Handset Protection?
The cost of this Mobi feature is $6 per month (plus tax). There is also a $3 setup fee.
Can anyone apply for coverage?
Both new and existing Mobi PCS customers can add Handset Protection to their Service Agreement. New customers can sign up at the time of activation, and existing customers can call customer care at 723.1111 or come into one of Mobi’s retail store locations.
When does my coverage start?
If you are a new customer activating a new phone and plan, your coverage starts immediately. If you are an existing Mobi PCS customer and want to add Handset Protection to your existing phone and plan, your coverage begins 30 days after the day your coverage is activated. For existing customers, Handset Protection can only be added to your plan and activated at the time you pay for your next month’s service.
Is there a deductible?
- $25 deductible for handsets with a retail list price of less than $130
- $50 deductible for handsets with a retail list price of $130 to $300
- $75 deductible for handsets with a retail list price above $300
- $25 additional charge for claims occurring within the first 90 days of coverage
Deductibles apply per occurrence with a limit of two occurrences per year.
Who do I contact to file a claim?
Claims are to be filed by calling Mobi PCS Customer Care at 808-723-1111. Consult the “Filing a Claim” section of the HPP Terms & Conditions pamphlet for details on processing a claim.
