Lifeline/Link Up discounts on wireless phone service

If you receive low-income benefits and you are currently or planning to be a subscriber of Mobi PCS wireless phone service, you could be eligible to receive a monthly discount on your Mobi PCS wireless phone service. Mobi PCS offers wireless service discounts through Federal Lifeline and Link Up programs.

What is Lifeline and Link Up?

The Lifeline and Link Up programs are designed to provide federal assistance to qualifying households/individuals. Mobi PCS is a wireless service provider that is able to allow customers who qualify to participate in these discount programs.

If your household income is below the Hawaii-specific threshold or if you participate in certain federal assistance programs, you can receive discounted service activation (Link Up) and monthly discounts on your Mobi PCS phone service (Lifeline).

How much of a discount can I receive?

The recurring Lifeline discount for Mobi PCS service is $13.50 per month. The one-time Link Up discount amount for service activation with Mobi PCS is 50% off activation.

Who is eligible for these discounts?

You are eligible if you participate in at least one of the following programs:

• Medicaid
• Food Stamps
• Supplemental Security Income
• Low-income Home Energy Assistance Program
• Federal Public Housing Assistance or Section 8
• National School Lunch - Free Lunch Program
• Temporary Assistance for Needy Families

You may also qualify for these programs on the basis of your household income.

How can I receive Lifeline and Link Up discounts from Mobi PCS?

To receive the Lifeline and/or Link Up discounts, follow these steps:

1. Determine your eligibility for these programs. Review the Application Form now to determine if you qualify or visit a Mobi PCS retail store to pick up an application form.

2. Complete all 5 sections and sign the certification form. Print clearly and provide accurate information.

3. Gather copies of all necessary documentation. Qualification through household income level requires supporting documents to confirm your income status.

4. Submit the completed forms and supporting documents via:
