Notification of Price Adjustment
For the past five years, Mobi has worked hard to bring Hawaii residents the very best value in wireless service throughout the Islands, while continuing to improve our service quality with constantly expanding coverage, greater reliability and more locations to serve you. We realize that in today's world it is sometimes hard to make ends meet, and we do everything we can to help stretch your hard-earned dollars.
While costs continue to rise each year, Mobi has been successful in maintaining, and in many cases, reducing its rates, for customers. However, external pressures on our business have caused a need for us to make some small rate adjustments this year. Fortunately, due to some aggressive internal cost cutting, we've been able to minimize the impact on our customers. Some select monthly plans will see slight increases of approximately 1 to 2 percent, or an average of $0.65/line. The adjusted rate will automatically be included in your next billing notification.
We hope you feel that despite this small rate change, Mobi is still your best wireless value, and we sincerely appreciate your business. We are ever focused on providing the highest quality wireless service in Hawaii, and we will continue to make investments in our home state. Examples include:
- 14 new cell sites in 2011 on Oahu, Maui and the Big Island to further enhance rural and in-building coverage and broadband speeds
- Maintaining the largest nationwide network available of any carrier
- Maintaining the lowest published dropped call rate in the state at less than 0.8% on Oahu
- Maintaining the best network back-up and support systems (note: Mobi was one of the few carriers that provided uninterrupted service during the recent tsunami event)
- Commitment to our community with 12 stores throughout the state of Hawaii, participation in numerous local events and special services to the people in need such as free international long distance calling to Japan for customers and non-customers alike throughout the month of March
